The Social Media Manager is responsible for the day-to-day publishing of Airship’s content across Airship’s digital channels. This role sits within the Marketing Team, which is responsible for crafting and communicating the Airship story to multiple audiences including customers, prospects, prospective employees and media.
 
The right candidate will have a mixture of skill sets. You’re a storyteller, marketer, strategist, copywriter, and analyst. You understand the power of words to convey a narrative and can do so in a concise way. You’ve mastered the art of “short form” copyrighting and know how to say a lot in very little space. You will help define, establish, and communicate what we publish, why, when, how and advise on which channels are most appropriate to reach the target audience.
 
In this role, you will manage the intake process and assist with the planning, management and execution of organic and paid social media posts. You’ll be an internal digital and content champion and the external brand voice when communicating to our audiences on social media.
 
You will be conversant in the data and analytics that are unique to each social platform, and will leverage that knowledge to shape and inform Airship’s communications efforts to be more effective in delivering measurable results.
 
Responsibilities 
  • The social media manager handles the day in and day management and publishing of Airship’s social channels and digital marketing efforts, aiding with content management and creation, long-range planning, social-media strategy.
  • Social Manager reports directly to VP Brand and Creative.
  • Works closely with the Director of Demand Gen and Digital Marketing to align social strategies, and manage schedules.
  • Works with the Director of SEO/Digital on analytics.
  • The applicant should have a fluent understanding of all modern social media tools and best practices, with a bold approach to social media marketing.
  • The applicant should be solution focused, up to speed in the latest social strategies and trends.
  • The Applicant is responsible to evaluate data analytics and be able to provide assessment and report findings and results on an ongoing basis, in real-time.  

Qualifications 

  • You are a creative writer and storyteller by nature; you have a mastery of grammar and tone
  • You can help execute an earned, paid, and owned digital marketing strategy to reach our target audiences
  • You have exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment
  • You have extensive experience with social media monitoring, publishing and listening platforms. 
  • Ability to turn social measurement into insights, compile results, and create actionable and data-backed reports
  • You have prior experience collaborating with and managing/directing agency partners and vendors
  • You are a team player able to work on multi-part projects across teams and able to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met
  • You have excellent attention to detail; strong organization and time management skills
  • You are familiar with SEO best practices and able to deliver SEO-optimized copy within guidelines
  • Develop and maintain a sustainable content calendar
  • Manage the creation of social and short-form content (social and website)
  • Work with creative team to assign projects, deliver content and manage production time-lines
