PORTFOLIO DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Group Delivery Director, the Portfolio Director is responsible for overseeing all Agile delivery activities within a portfolio of engagements, providing leadership, direction, and guidance to ensure the seamless execution and success of these projects.
As a Portfolio Director, you will lead a team of Delivery Leads and work to:
- Ensure maximum customer satisfaction by delivering on expectations and exceeding quality standards.
- Implement and maintain high-quality delivery processes and controls, aligning with Agile best practices and the "Amdaris Way."
- Effectively manage resources, including the proactive identification of future resourcing needs.
You will take ownership of the development and training of Delivery Leads in alignment with the Amdaris Delivery Lead Training Framework and serve as a role model for Agile delivery best practices. This includes leading by example and managing "light touch" engagements to demonstrate effective delivery.
The Portfolio Director should embody strong leadership qualities, excellent client focus, and a self-motivated, adaptable, and energetic mindset.
PORTFOLIO DIRECTOR REQUIREMENTS
- Proven track record as an excellent people manager, able to build collaborative and high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong capacity to work autonomously, with the ability to set milestones, self-initiate work, and assume full accountability for achieving objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, partners, and peers, ensuring alignment and success in delivery.
- A results-driven mindset, with proven experience in making sound decisions impacting project success, including results, deadlines, and budgets.
- Experience in fostering user/customer collaboration throughout all phases of the delivery lifecycle.
- A successful history of managing and delivering multiple concurrent IT projects or services.
- Thorough knowledge of software development life cycle processes, adhering to industry best practices.
- Proficiency in Quality Planning, Assurance, and Control to maintain delivery excellence.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to make impactful decisions.
- A continuous improvement mindset, striving for excellence in all areas of delivery.
- Certification in delivery methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, ITIL) is essential.
