What is the point of this role?
As an Associate Information Systems engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving ANS computer systems, applications and infrastructure. You will be expected to diagnose hardware and software faults and solve technical and application problems, either over the phone or in person. Reporting directly to the Information Systems Team Lead, you will serve as the first point of contact for technical issues and queries from ANS employees, ensuring prompt resolution, and appropriate escalation when necessary.
What will I be doing?
- Install, configure, and update computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Provide direct support to staff, assisting with system setups and troubleshooting via phone or face-to-face interaction.
- Logging all IT support requests into the ticketing system and keeping them up to date.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including support for Microsoft M365, Windows 11and Mac OS operating systems, and video conferencing equipment.
- Manage hardware maintenance and replacement, including laptops and mobile devices.
- Assist with the deployment of new applications and systems.
- Create and manage user accounts, ensuring secure and efficient access control.
- Maintaining the Asset Management system ensuring all records are kept up to date.
What will I bring to the role?
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to efficiently troubleshoot and diagnose technical faults.
- Troubleshooting Windows and MacOS operating systems.
- Troubleshooting iOS and Android operating systems.
- Administration of users and groups using Microsoft Entra ID and on-premise Active Directory
- Troubleshooting and administration of Microsoft M365 including Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint/OneDrive.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Established working knowledge of IT helpdesk service processes, SLAs/KPIs.
- Technical understanding of current leading technologies and industry terminology.
What is needed to do the role?
Desirable – Any Microsoft Fundamentals certifications e.g. MS-900, AZ-900, SC-900
