Overview:
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager, where you’ll be a key member of the project team focussing on delivery of system integration and software projects across the Apadmi customer portfolio.
In this role, you’ll be tasked with overall responsibility for the full project lifecycle including sales support, defining and managing project budgets and forecasting.
We offer the opportunity to work across a range of clients from Lifestyle start ups through to blue chip Private Banking clients. Projects will vary in size and budget and typically, these will involve the development of new products or enhancing existing products, involving multi-disciplinary teams at Apadmi and third parties.
What you’ll do
You’ll have previous experience of delivering technical projects in a similar role, excited by a new challenge for a fast-growing digital specialist. Key elements of the role include:
- Input into the planning and estimation process during the sales
- Determine and define project scope, objectives and deliverables, ensuring every project is set up for success
- Work closely with the resourcing team to plan in and maintain appropriate resources to deliver in an effective and efficient manner
- Prepare estimates based on the scope of work and resource requirements
- Track and report on project tasks and budget burndown
- Identify, assess and monitor risks, communication of assumptions, issues and key dependencies, ensuring solutions are found
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Define and manage any change management requirements or interdependencies for Apadmi, the client or 3rd party service providers
- Confidently lead technical discussions with development teams and clients being able to understand, challenge and summarise the debate
- Utilise industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
- Continuously seeking opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the project in line with the project vision and strategy.
- Be the guardian of project scope, agreeing change request with stakeholders and raising / approving invoices in line with the agreed Statement of Work
What we’re looking for
Ideally, you’ll have some experience working in a similar role, preferably in a digital consultancy or software development environment working on large scale applications development and systems integration. We’re looking for someone who fits the following:
- Strong experience delivering multiple end-to-end API and system integration application projects.
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools like Confluence, Jira, MS Project and Harvest
- Well versed in project management processes such as SDLC, Agile, SAFe, Scrum and others.
- A firm grasp of version control, tools, repositories and processes such as CI/CD
- At least a basic understanding of data collection, processing and analysis
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to build relationships
- An effective influencer who is able to listen and build consensus with senior internal and external partners/stakeholders
- Self-driven, results orientated and a positive outlook
- Natural forward planner and strategic thinker
- Reliable, tolerant, persistent and determined
- Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to work on own initiative

This role will be based at our Apadmi HQ in Salford Quays although occasional travel to clients may be required.
