About Argent
Argent aims to be crypto’s defining company: the first to bring the benefits of self-custody to a global audience. Giving people control of their assets and identity, and helping them to enjoy new economic opportunities.
To do this we’ve built the first smart wallet. As different from traditional wallets as smart phones were to 90’s phones. Argent is easier, safer, cheaper, and greener.
As a company, we’ve raised a $40m Series B from Paradigm, Index Ventures and Creandum, putting us in a strong financial position with 4 years of runway.
We work remotely across Europe, prioritizing autonomy and flexibility. And it’s a particularly exiciting time to join as we’re preparing to launch breakthrough new products on Starknet and zkSync.

About the Argent X team
This team built Argent X, the most popular wallet on Starknet, with over 550K users. Argent X is an open source browser extension written in Javascript/Typescript.
The team also built web wallet - our solution for Dapps wanting the easiest onboarding for new users. You can hear more about their work here.
As Lead Engineer, you will get to:
- Lead the design, architecture and development of one of our web-based products (Argent X Browser Extension, Argent Web Wallet, …)
- Ensure our software meets our strong requirements in terms of usability, security, availability and long term maintainability
- Translate product requirements into a delivery plan, working with our product managers to scope, estimate and prioritize our product backlog
- Act as a mentor for colleagues, with a focus on continuous improvement of the team's craftsmanship, through code review, pair programming and training
- Help define and build starknet.js, an open source library helping applications interact with the StarkNet protocol
- Take ownership of the entire development lifecycle and quickly ship features in an agile environment.
Your experience should include:
- 5+ years experience developing full-stack solutions in Javascript/Typescript
- Strong knowledge of both back-end (Node.js) and front-end (ReactJS) technologies as well as API development and security (OAuth, JWT)
- At ease with design and architecture of software and systems (e.g. Design Patterns, Enterprise Integration, Domain Modeling, Secure Software Development)
- Experience at leading a small to medium size team of developers
- Experience at building complex consumer facing web apps in ReactJS
- Experience with agile methodologies and software development tooling and processes
Major plus if you have experience with:
- MSc. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Browser Extensions development
- ReactJS best practices and design patterns (MVC, Flux, Redux,..)
- Blockchain (Ethereum/EVM/Starknet)
- Open source software and contribution
