About Aztec

At Aztec we believe privacy isn’t just a fundamental right, but a creative force for web3. Our goal is to unleash the full potential of decentralized technologies by building an open, privacy-first network with no compromises.

Privacy enables use cases that otherwise would not be possible and accelerates mainstream adoption. The next wave of web3 applications will require programmable privacy. Aztec’s technology empowers developers with the tools to build private applications and bring their ideas to reality.

Our journey started while building an application to bring syndicated loans on chain. We realized that our idea was a nonstarter without privacy. There were no solutions to offer privacy on public blockchains - so we sought out to build it ourselves. Since then, we've made industry-leading advances in cryptography, and deployed a private money platform and a private DeFi platform.

To realize our vision of implementing privacy on a public blockchain, we are building a world-class team of cryptographers, engineers, and ecosystem builders. Supporting us on this journey are leading investors including Paradigm, Variant, Consensys, and a_capital.

Role Focus:

At Aztec we need precise data to drive business decisions. Our latest system Aztec Connect not only enables private sends on Ethereum, but also permits interoperability with any L1 protocol for which there is an associated "bridge contract". While we are not a "big data" organisation grinding terrabytes of information, we need accurate insight into the realtime state of our systems, and precise distillation of on-chain data to gain an understanding of how our systems are used, all while working with data that is inherently limited by our privacy protocols. In this role you would be responsible for:
  • Developing a full understanding of the various moving parts within the Aztec system.
  • Developing an understanding of the needs of the business and identifying data to collect to build useful insights.
  • Process data from multiple sources such as Dune Analytics, to highlight problems and opportunities.
  • Have the technical ability to jump into code to add, fix or extend existing metrics.
  • Communicate important information and insights to business and engineering leads.
  • To build and maintain our dashboards, ensuring they providing the key information the business needs to evolve.
  • Bonus to use ML techniques to analyze the strengths of Aztec's privacy sets.

This is the culture we hire for:

  • Self starters - We expect teammates to be adaptable to meet the needs of the organization and complete the tasks at hand.
  • Deep thinkers - We take the time to rigorously collect data and understand the consequences of different approaches before building the solution.
  • Passion learners - We are passionate about technology and love to learn and build.
  • Considerate teammates - We are mindful of how our work is interconnected and the importance of communication

What we offer:

  • A highly competitive compensation package (including equity)
  • Flexible and remote work environment
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays annually
  • An opportunity to work at the cutting edge of blockchain and FinTech with a world class cryptography and engineering team

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor required by law to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We are also required to measure our progress toward having at least 7% of our workforce be individuals with disabilities. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had a disability. Because a person may become disabled at any time, we ask all of our employees to update their information at least every five years.

Identifying yourself as an individual with a disability is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer will be maintained confidentially and not be seen by selecting officials or anyone else involved in making personnel decisions. Completing the form will not negatively impact you in any way, regardless of whether you have self-identified in the past. For more information about this form or the equal employment obligations of federal contractors under Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
