SCOPE OF THE ROLE

 
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team on a 9-months fixed-term contract,
covering a maternity leave. Based in London this position offers the chance to collaborate closely with the Head
of Finance. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations of the company,
as well as single entities and group consolidated audit.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 
Oversee areas of financial accounting of control, including financial accounting, treasury, systems, and
finance transactions
Coordinate and manage external audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion
Prepare audit schedules, provide necessary documentation, and address auditor queries
Coordinate and prepare statutory reporting using US GAAP for subsidiary entities
Ensuring accurate and current financial ledgers
Provide the management committee and EXCO with financial reporting vital to the decision-making
process
Support the implementation of new AP software, including new budgeting and forecasting process

Ensure compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations

• Maintain up to date documentation of business process and accounting policies
• Fulfil additional ad hoc duties are required to meet the needs of the business.

 
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

 
• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• qualified with 3-4 years post qualification experience

PREFERRED SKILLS

 
• Able to present financial information clearly and concisely with great insight
• A strong understanding of financial accounting and the preparation of financial reports
• Held a similar position with ability to report to EXCO if required
• Experience with google suite to intermediary level
• An ability to and proactively solve problems
• Ability to meet strict reporting deadlines & proactively manage workload
• Demonstration of honesty, integrity and good reputation
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills and ability to interpret and
summarise/present varied data
• Advanced excel skills
