What will you do as Data & Cloud Engineer?
You will play an important role in continuously making our battery solutions smarter and on top of that you get the opportunity to work in the emerging field of high-tech battery systems. At Big Ass Battery we aim to set our products apart by implementing cutting edge solutions now and in the future. We want to work with people who are excited by this goal and have the talent to deliver on it and having a green heart helps too!

You are responsible for developing and implementing smart algorithms for controlling our battery systems. You are involved in the entire development process, from requirements to implementation and debugging. You will ensure that our innovative product(s) are always ahead of the game! Your challenge can consist of:

• Work on building robust and scalable data processing pipelines
• Take ownership to further develop the data platform and help innovate new capabilities
• Innovate and think along with our roadmap
• Keep our data platform stable and continuously improving itself

What do we expect you will bring to Big Ass Battery?

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, data science or a related field
• Experience with PHP (Laravel)
• Experience with Git
• Experience in real-world software development: you have experience working on a product
• Enthusiastic about complex systems that contribute to a sustainable energy transition
• Experience with Python
• Eager to develop yourself 
• Familiar with Agile methodology
• Good communication and documentation skills

We build energy storage systems at the highest level: from battery cell to complete 10ft battery containers. Big Ass Battery is a Dutch company and we are located in Helmond.
