Bold is a young company that aims to become a global player in the electric vehicle and special projects sector providing design and manufacturing services to motorsport and aerospace.

We leverage our experience in motorsports to develop high-performance battery technology that is light weight, modular and scalable. We want to make Formula 1 battery technology available at scale.

After achieving a +200% organic revenue growth (no marketing, no external investment/grants) over the last 2 years, Bold is currently preparing for an unprecedented growth stage and is looking to fill several key positions within the company to execute the business plan.

Main Tasks

As we continue our journey of rapid growth, Bold is looking for the right person to lead technical sales within the commercial department. The candidate will be liaising with customers and the business development team to provide the best proposal from the technical and commercial point of view.

Bold is looking for a high-profile individual with strong experience in a technical sales role involved in high performance battery sector. A clear perspective of the market and players is essential to succeed. Furthermore, the candidate must be highly knowledgeable about the technical fundamentals of lithium-ion cells and battery pack systems. The job is on-site in Montmeló, Barcelona with frequent travelling to Europe and UK and some US and Middle east trips.

  • Generate the proposals for new customer inquiries by analysing and working on the technical specifications provided.
  • Provide input and liaise with suppliers during the RFI and RFQ stages of the acquisition phase.
  • Work with the operations and technical teams to coordinate and forecast resources based on acquisition phase inputs.
  • Develop accurate technical proposals based on lithium-ion cell and battery pack models.
  • Support management with technical insight on current and future projects.
  • Contribute to business intelligence database to better our current commercial strategy and product roadmap.

Skills

  • Identify opportunities, generate leads and covert them to a growing number of sales for the company
  • Ability to interrogate the customer to gather the technical insight needed for the best proposal
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about the lithium-ion battery market
  • Gather and track market information on potential customer information and updates, competitor landscape, and regulations applicable to the business
  • Able to manage complex and different projects whilst maintain the highest level of customer facing professionalism.
  • Heavily involved in cell supplier relationships to match customer and project requirements, from both a commercial and technical point of view
  • Support the definition and allocation of requirements for systems engineering, firmware, hardware, test requirements and verification methods
  • Motorsport industry experience is a plus
