The Senior Battery Design Engineer will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of BOLD’s battery systems using the latest state-of-the-art CAD tools, leveraging top-class engineering principles knowledge.

What You Will Do
- Mechanical design of battery design components from concept to prototyping and production
- Generation of 3D parts and 2D layouts
- Design and ownership of structural, thermal and electrical systems
- Liaison with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Skills you will need
- 5+ years experience in mechanical design in the automotive, energy, rail or aerospace sectors
- 3+ years experience in mechanical design of battery systems
- Expertise in 3D modelling and 2D layout software packages
- Experience in general manufacturing methods: metal extrusion, sheet metal, plastic injection moulding, 3D printing, metal casting
- Proficient English
Skills that would be great to have
- Experience in electrical and cooling routing design
- Previous experience in sheet metal modelling
- Previous experience in Finite Element Modelling
- Experience in the industrialisation of battery systems
- Experience in composite design and development
- Experience in Bill of Materials management
