Main Tasks
As we continue our journey of rapid growth, Bold is looking for the right person to support technical sales within the commercial department. The candidate will be liaising with customers and the business development team to provide the best proposal from the technical and commercial point of view.
Bold is looking for a talented & confident individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with stakeholders inside and outside of the business. As a highly customer facing role, experience of this is essential. Furthermore, the candidate must be highly knowledgeable in the technical fundamentals of lithium-ion battery pack systems.
- Generate high-level technical solutions and specifications fulfilling low complexity customer requirements / enquiries and prepare commercial proposals based on these.
- Support management with solution / specification definition and writing of commercial proposals for large, highly complex project opportunities.
- Provide input and liaise with suppliers during the RFI and RFQ stages of the project opportunity acquisition phase.
- Work with the operations and technical teams to coordinate and forecast resources based on the project opportunity pipeline.
- Develop accurate technical proposals based on lithium-ion cell and battery pack models.
- Support management with technical insight on current and future projects.
- Contribute to business intelligence database to better our current commercial strategy and product roadmap.
- Take a key role in attendance at trade shows, liaising with event organisers, subcontractors and the Bold management, to ensure maximum value for the Bold brand.

Skills
- Ability to identify opportunities, generate leads and covert them to a growing number of sales for the company
- Ability to gather the necessary technical input data / requirements from the customer.
- Capable of using CAD software for basic scheming of technical solutions, for RFQ response and preliminary concept discussions (3DX preferred – capability in other packages can be considered, provided a willingness to work in 3DX after basic training)
- Able to maintain a high level of knowledge about the lithium-ion battery market
- Capable of tracking market information on potential customers, competitor landscape, and regulations applicable to the business
- Able to manage complex and varying projects whilst maintaining the highest level of customer facing professionalism.
- Ability to generate strong cell supplier relationships to match customer and project requirements, from both a commercial and technical point of view
- Fluent in technical English, both written and spoken.
- Motorsport industry experience, knowledge of CFRP design/manufacturing methods & ability to speak/write in Spanish would all be a plus
