About the Role

Reporting directly to the CCO, the Sales Manager will be the driving force behind our sales efforts, with a sharp focus on cultivating a thriving customer base to fuel Bold's expansion. We're seeking a candidate who embodies a sales-centric mindset and a passion for commercial success. Your experience in sales in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle technology sector is pivotal to our growth.

We contribute across all areas of engineering and in multiple different specialisms including composite & materials, bodywork, aero & structural, powertrain, and tooling.    

In our Electrification division, we specialize in R&D of state of the art of battery systems. Taking projects from initial concepts to production: we are designing, developing, testing, and manufacturing the next generation of high-performance batteries to innovative projects for multiple industries. We aim to generate a real impact on the future of electric mobility.

What You Will Do

  • Meticulously analyze the market landscape to pinpoint lucrative opportunities, identify product gaps, and consistently challenge our go-to-market strategy to offer value to customers.
  • Conduct strategic studies on business models (product sales vs. tech licensing) tailored to customer segments, types, and regions.
  • Develop and execute high-impact business development strategies.
  • Nurture and expand relationships with new customers while taking ownership of surpassing growth KPIs.
  • Foster and sustain a robust pipeline of fresh business prospects aligned with our core offerings.
  • Support cross-functional teams through the entire process, from initial RFQ to full implementation and successful customer deliveries.
  • Build and leverage an effective network to establish and enhance customer relationships.
  • Absorb and to be able to relay to customers, product features and characteristics in conversations. Be always prepared to answer questions from potential customers.
  • Demonstrate courtesy and savoir-fair in front of customers in all situations.

What You Need to Succeed

  • A proven track record of igniting growth in startups or rapidly expanding technology companies, with a strong emphasis on sales.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, adept at building interpersonal connections, and possessing a high level of empathy.
  • Extensive experience in crafting and negotiating agreements with major players in the automotive, aviation, or marine industries.
  • A proactive approach and unwavering commitment to customer success.
  • A well-established network of industry connections within the EV space (automotive, e-VTOL, marine, etc.) and a demonstrated history of international business development achievements.
  • Outstanding communication abilities, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in tracking and managing multiple customer programs, from inception to realization.
  • Self-reliant individual with own drive to develop business with new customers.
  • Openness to international travel as needed.
