Open positions at BOLD for Formula Student Candidates
- Project leader: Handling of the Project execution, interface between company and customer, managing team resources.
- Principal Engineer: Proficient in a specific engineering field
- Mechanical Design Engineer: Concept design, 3D design, 2D design, design for manufacturing, all based on CAD software.
- Composite Design Engineer: Concept design, 3D design, 2D design, design for manufacturing, all based on CAD software.
- Aero Surface Design Engineer: Collaborate with CFD to transform aerodynamic theories into intricate CAD models.
- HW Engineer: Circuit simulation, Altium PCB design, Harness design, PCBA testing definition, EE components selection
- SW Engineer: Microcontroller programming in C/C++, Model Base Design with MATLAB/Simulink, SIL/HIL testing
- FEA Engineer: Virtual validation, case studies with isotropic and orthotropic materials, static and dynamic, all based on CAE software.

We contribute across all areas of engineering and in multiple different specialisms including composite & materials, bodywork, aero & structural, powertrain, and tooling.
In our Electrification division specializes in R&D of state of the art of battery systems. Taking projects from initial concepts to production: we are designing, developing, testing, and manufacturing the next generation of high-performance batteries to innovative projects for multiple industries. We aim to generate a real impact on the future of electric mobility.

What You Need to Succeed
- At least two seasons of Formula Student experience
- Team leader or head of department desirable
- Participation in scrutineering, design, cost, and business plan events desirable
- Enjoyed Formula Student experience and passionate about motorsport
- Demonstratable experience of participation and contribution to the project, for example in manufacturing or software application.
