The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for driving and developing all activities related to the procurement of components for our battery and electrification technologies, with a focus on plastic and metallic components.

What You Will Do
- Develop Supplier Sourcing Strategies, Market Research, Investigation & Nomination
- Detailed Cost Analysis, Commercial Negotiation and Proposals
- Cradle to Grave Supplier Relationship Management
- Commercial and Contractual support to Project Teams/Engineers
- Project, Budget, Cost Progress and Reporting
- Business Planning of Procurement objectives and activities
- Improve/Streamline the Procurement Processes
- Contract and Order Placement including authorising Payment to suppliers
- Create and manage the RFI/RFP/RFQ process.
- Contract Preparation and deployment.
- Supplier Gateway Readiness checks, confirmation and reporting.
- Cross Functional cost reduction activity
- Support the creation and management of Supplier Risk and reporting.
- Life Cycle Cost Management for a range of commodities.
- Supplier concern resolution
What You Need to Succeed
- Well rounded technical knowledge of manufacturing processes involved in the production of plastic and metallic components.
- Previous Battery technology experience with a wide range of commercial and commodity groups of both low and high value (Direct and Indirect).
- Commercial acumen and negotiation prowess. Understanding how to strengthen and add value to supplier proposals.
- Experience in establishing or streamlining procurement processes and procedures.
- Experience in operating MRP/ERP systems.
- Solid understanding of procurement procedures. Ability to promote best practice purchasing techniques.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills. Approachable and can be relied upon as a trusted advisor.
- Proven commercial success / strong negotiator.
- Excellent presentation skills with a proven ability to influence stakeholders up to Executive level, both internally and externally.
- Great communication skills - Ability to build and maintain effective relationships of trust and credibility with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Execution: ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
