Your Mission 💪
We are looking for a Pre-Sales Solution Architect to join our team. This role involves supporting our sales team by providing technical expertise, designing solutions, and presenting these solutions to our customers. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, proposing appropriate solutions, and supporting sales activities such as creating proposals and pricing.
The ideal candidate should have experience in solution design, be skilled in both verbal and written communication, and have a good commercial awareness. Technical knowledge of Workplace technologies like Microsoft 365 and Virtual Desktops is essential. Familiarity with the Microsoft technical ecosystem and cost optimisation in cloud solutions is also important.
What you’ll be doing 🎯
- Provide expert pre-sales technical support on Workplace technologies like Microsoft 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Design and document high-level technical solutions.
- Collaborate with our Professional Services team and external partners.
- Meet with customers to understand their business and technical needs and gather all necessary information to propose solutions.
- Build and maintain technical relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Deliver engaging technical presentations on Modern Workplace solutions, tailored to customer requirements.
- Quickly and effectively create detailed solution proposals.
- Conduct Proofs of Concept to demonstrate the value of our technologies to customers.
- Prepare comprehensive Statements of Work for project delivery.
- Ensure services are accurately scoped with delivery consultants.
- Develop new and refine existing Modern Workplace services.
- Assist in responding to tenders.
- Lead customer workshops, such as digital transformation and Workplace Assessments, and provide necessary documentation and training.
What experience we think you’ll need 🚀
- Experienced in a pre-sales capacity designing Microsoft-centric Modern Workplace solutions
- Strong understanding of the UK Managed Services market
- Experience delivering technical workplace solutions or experience delivering workplace pre-sales consultancy
- Proven experience of Microsoft 365 and End User Compute technologies. For example, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune, Conditional Access, Purview, Defender and Entra
- Experience of migrations to cloud and hybrid environments
- A good understanding of some core technology solutions such as Azure, networking, telephony, virtualisation, data and applications.
- Excellent communication skills, including listening, written as well as presentation skills
- At ease explaining and answering queries on technical solutions, services, and products
- Proposal writing experience
- Project delivery experience including delivery of a project end-to-end
- Willing to occasionally travel throughout the UK
