How you’ll fit in to the big picture ✨
As a Pre-Sales Solution Architect (Hybrid Infrastructure), you will blend technical expertise with commercial awareness to design and present modern hybrid infrastructure solutions for boxxe’s customers. Drawing on at least three years of pre-sales experience, you will create both high- and low-level designs, prepare proposals, respond to RFPs, and deliver compelling presentations for varied audiences. Familiarity with major vendors (Dell, HPe, Lenovo, NetApp) and platforms (VMware, Microsoft Server, Hyper-V/Azure Local, Nutanix, Veeam), as well as exposure to public cloud (Azure or AWS), is essential. You will also price solutions, provide technical leadership at customer and partner events, and ensure the right technology is deployed in the right environment.
What you’ll be doing 🎯
- Delivering high-quality technical pre-sales on Hybrid Infrastructure (Dell, HPe, NetApp, Azure, AWS, data centre refresh approaches, hybrid cloud technologies, data centre networking, etc.)
- Attending customer meetings to gather business and technical requirements before producing solution proposals
- Collaborating with our Professional Services team and third-party partners
- Building and nurturing technical relationships with new and existing customers
- Creating and delivering confident technical presentations tailored to each customer’s needs
- Developing solution proposals to a high standard within agreed timelines
- Delivering Proofs of Concept that clearly demonstrate the benefits of selected technologies
- Working with delivery consultants to ensure accurate scoping of services
- Contributing to the creation of new service offerings and refining existing ones
- Supporting the tender team by completing responses in a timely manner
- Conducting customer workshops (digital transformation, workplace assessments, health checks, and training)
- Producing clear documentation for handover to both internal and client technical teams
What experience we think you’ll need 🚀
- 3+ years experience in a pre-sales capacity designing customer facing technology solutions
- Strong understanding of the UK Managed Services market
- Proven experience of Hybrid Infrastructure technologies such as Dell, HPe, NetApp, VMware, Nutanix, Azure, AWS
- Experience of migrations between cloud and hybrid environments
- A dedication to staying abreast of the changes within the technology landscape
- A broad understanding of some core technology solutions such as networking, telephony, virtualisation, servers, storage, hyper-converged, databases and applications
- Excellent organisation skills
- Excellent communication skills, including listening, written as well as presentation skills
- At ease explaining and answering queries on technical solutions, services, and products
- Proposal writing experience
- Project delivery experience including delivery of a project end-to-end
- Willing to occasionally travel throughout the UK
