What's the role

We’re looking for an experienced Data Analyst who can manage large data sets - both our own and our partners’ - to discover meaningful insights and build internal and external cross-functional relationships. They will support the relationship with the client’s Data & Analytics counterparts, where the actionable insights will become recommendations for both media internal and external teams.

What you do 

Data Analysis Responsibilities (60%):

  • Apply your expertise in analysis and the presentation of data to uncover unique actionable insights, maximizing cross-channel media efficiency and client return on media investment
  • Define insightful hypotheses and identify methods to leverage ours and our partners large internal data sets to validate hypothesis, guide strategy, refine marketing activation and drive clients’ business impact

Client Management & Internal Collaboration Responsibilities (30%):

  • Build meaningful cross-functional relationships  working with the account teams to identify potential opportunities to re-calibrate our tools using our client’s data sets and open the door for more detailed discussions around modelling, analysis, testing, reporting and business impact from media strategy & tactics 
  • Have a keen eye for, and focus on, the impact of marketing activity, seeking the opportunity to optimize media strategy on behalf of clients. This includes serving as an informed and responsible stakeholder in client/agency meetings, where subject matter expertise is deployed to move the clients’ business forward.

Team Management Responsibilities (10%):

  • Be willing to train and coach team members

Who you are 

  • Work with complex data structures; cleanse data and perform statistical analysis such as: multivariate creative analysis, predictive modeling, benchmarking analysis, cluster analysis, user overlap analysis, path to conversion analysis while possessing a track record of translating analysis into actionable insights for the marketing and advertising industry
  • 3 years’ experience in analytics, with a leaning towards media analysis (effectiveness and efficiency) – with experience in attribution, media planning and econometrics.
  • Produces easy-to-understand, error-free, and timely deliverables that leverage category and client specific data along with media performance data to modify and refine marketing strategy while addressing client business objectives
  • Supports the leveraging of advanced analytic methodologies to drive marketing and financial performance, isolates key KPI trends and performance pacing, optimize consumer online/offline experiences, predict consumer behaviors, maximize sales conversion, drive media mix optimization and forecast critical business outcomes
  • Designs, executes and delivers advanced analytics that enable our teams and clients to make more intelligent decisions across the campaign life cycle and consumer decision journey to drive relevance, scale & performance – influencing, designing and developing the output of our tool suite 
  • Connects the dots and finds the story behind the numbers (i.e. goes beyond reporting, peels away the layers of data), gleans insights and articulates meaning and implications to business outcomes. 
  • Collaborates closely with client teams to guide integrated cross-channel storytelling, data interpretation, insight generation and analytics program evolution
  • Proven understanding of quantitative and qualitative analysis, and track record of using data to support recommendations, prove out hypotheses and measure the success of such actions
  • Strong process, project and vendor management skills with successful experience partnering with cross-functional teams
  • High degree of comfort with advanced applied statistics, including bayesian modeling, central limit theorem, budget elasticity of demand, probability theory and descriptive & inferential statistics
  • Mastery of both SQL as well as Python programming languages
