Purpose of the role
We are looking for Finance Manager - UK Operations to own the opex portion of the UK Finance Operations team. This role is based in Bangalore and reports to the UK Financial Controller who is based in London. This role will utilise our Global Finance Capability Centre for transaction work and will maintain strong control over finance operations. .
We are an energetic team, constantly seeking out efficiencies and improvements in what we do and are at the forefront of helping the business drive growth. The hiring of a Financial Controller to lead the Operations team is a key part of this journey for Brainlabs finance to help us more effectively partner with the business and to bring more efficiency and control to our accounting as we scale.
Financial Operations - Responsible for the delivery of the day to day finance opex operations and processing of the entity accounting
- Responsible for the delivery of the day to day finance operations and processing of the entity accounting within the 3 regional entities, including but not limited to
- Accounts Payable - Maintain control and processing of accounts payable in a timely manner.
- Prepayments
- Accruals
- Bank reconciliations
- Intercompany
- Fixed assets and depreciation
- Payroll and staff costs
- Manage monthly recharges per the transfer pricing guidelines in place.
- Develop & maintain robust financial processes, controls and systems across P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow to ensure month end delivery within 4 working days
- Ownership of the balance sheet (excluding revenue and media) with clear and organised monthly balance sheet reconciliation
- Delivery of the opex audit process through timely delivery of information for UK items
- Submission of quarterly VAT return for UK entities
Financial Reporting - Prepare accurate and effective financial reporting for areas under your control
- Production of monthly staff cost per head reports, reconciling to TBs
- Preparation of monthly reporting including commentary of forecast and budget variance for staff costs, overheads and balance sheet
- Production of monthly balance sheet reconciliations as well as identification and escalation of issues identified
- Manage team inputs on prior week actuals and AP reports for the 16 week cash flow forecast
- Prepare weekly payment run data including commentary vs 16 week cash flow
- Input into monthly Overhead forecast, working with and building a strong relationship with the FP&A Business partner
Experience and personality
Experience: 8-10 years with team handling
Educational qualifications: Atleast CA Inter or CMA Inter
