The Role

Cervest is looking to hire a Product Analytics Lead to help define, establish, and implement a product analytics strategy for our flagship product, EarthScan. This role will be critical in ensuring that our products are continuously meeting the needs of users and supporting them on their Climate Intelligent journey, empowering everyone to adapt with climate change and build a resilient future for our planet.

As Cervest’s inaugural Product Analytics hire, they will be integral in helping us to monitor and analyse user behaviours and make insight driven decisions to optimise the customer journey and prioritise product features and use cases, working closely with the VP of the EarthScan product, product managers and cross-functional teams such as customer success and marketing.

The Product Analytics Lead will become the subject matter expert on user interactions, helping to define and manage the long-term product analytics strategy, and be involved in everything from vendor selection all the way through to helping to establish KPIs, conducting rigorous analyses and presenting recommendations to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Define and establish a product analytics strategy for our flagship product, EarthScan
  • Develop a strong understanding of Cervest's product vision to help build an analytics solution that is scalable, answers key questions on our user value journey and assists data-driven product decisions
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses across different data sources and provide recommendations
  • Work with product managers and user researchers to help formulate product hypotheses and design experiments that can be measured using product analytics
  • Become Cervest's subject matter expert on product analytics
  • Drive a culture of strong analytics and data-driven thinking across the EarthScan product unit
  • Be the driving force behind core analytical projects (from origination and vendor selection to implementation and analysis) aimed at optimising our product and user journey
  • Work with key stakeholders across product, marketing and strategy to define and measure appropriate metrics and critical success factors
  • Build and deliver dashboards, data models, reports and insights and related processes; produce clear data-driven narratives
  • Regularly communicate insights and metrics to key stakeholders within the business
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including product and data engineers, to implement product analytics solutions and provide self-service tools where necessary.


Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in product analytics, particularly for viral, B2B platform-based businesses
  • Strong user-centric and analytic mindset; strong statistical understanding
  • Strong experience in working with large datasets, data story-telling to non-technical audiences and pattern recognition
  • Strong track record of defining and implementing product analytics strategies, including building data models, delivering dashboards and reports to global cross-functional teams against tight deadlines and providing actionable insights that can be translated into product and customer decisions
  • Experience working with product analytics suites such as Google Analytics, HotJar and Appcues and visualisation tools such as Tableau
  • Experience of using common languages e.g. SQL or Python or R as well as strong competency of Excel
  • Experience working with digital marketing platforms such as Hubspot
  • Strong numerical background/degree
  • Experience running A/B tests and other product experiments
  • Experience working in a startup culture and making data-driven decisions even in ambiguous situations

We are a remote first company and are hiring across Europe, the USA and beyond. We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable working in a remote setting and with a diverse team distributed across multiple time zones. This job requires minimum travel for occasional regional or global team retreats only, using more sustainable transport methods (we’ll help with that) so generally within one time zone of the UK.
