Security and compliance is at the heart of Charles’ value proposition. You will be working in the platform team to safeguard our customers’ data, and ensuring the highest standards of security within Charles’ teams, processes, systems, and hardware. Operating at the intersection of messaging and commerce, you will enable a secure conversational commerce experience, impacting millions of users and strengthening our commitments towards our customers.

THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Provide guidance and establish standards four our Product Development teams on security best practices and secure coding
  • Collaborate with our Head of Legal & Data Privacy to to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Lead compliance evaluation for our vendor selection as well as our customers’.
  • Select and evaluate contractors for pentest and vulnerability tests implementation and drive implementation of required measures
  • Manage and optimize SIEM solutions, and orechestrate our response to intrusion
  • Respond to security breaches in a timely manner, iterate on the security incident response process
  • Develop and lead periodic security training and awareness campaign within the organization
  • Support on hardware security solutions

YOU'LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND VALUES

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role
  • Experience to work with software development teams
  • Proficiency in security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP or other cloud platforms and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
