About the team
The Calculators and Discovery Tools team deliver state-of-the-art solutions for structural calculations, molecular property predictions, and other tools in the field of computational support of drug discovery. These calculations and methods support various chemistry-related workflows, including new compound design in drug discovery, design of laboratory experiments, and analysis of compound libraries. The team develops and explores various data modeling approaches including classical and machine learning techniques.
All the released products are widely embedded in several client environments and various software tools of integrator partners.
The Product Owner works closely with senior project team members, including the Product Manager and Engineering Manager, to ensure that the developer teams deliver products and features on time and in scope. They make timely decisions in a data-informed way, prioritizing features in line with the roadmap and the Product Manager’s guidance. They also ensure that internal stakeholder groups are consulted and are able to position and differentiate the product in the market.
About your responsibilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and customer leads to capture strategic and customer-based product requirements
- Participate and contribute to a solution discovery process
- Collaborate with software development leaders to translate customer or market requirements into software requirements
- Define appropriate user stories and epics to support the market and customer requirements
- Seek and retain active Stakeholder participation
- Manage and prioritize the backlog
- Coordinates dependencies with other PMs and POs
- Support feature demos
- Define acceptance criteria - participate in drafting, reviewing and validation
- Accept stories
- Participate in team retrospectives
- Review and improve processes
Experience, skills and knowledge you should bring to us
- Master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical engineering or pharmacy
- Several years of industrial experience in drug discovery or a related field
- Experience in computational chemistry and molecule modeling
- Excellent English language skills (both written and spoken)
- Good communication & presentation skills
- Practical, data driven approach to problems

- Previous work experience as a product owner
