We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced industry professional to make some noise and motivate their team to do the same.
You know the industry well enough to immediately identify prospective clients and who is unafraid to contact these people to start consultative discussions about how we can help them solve their most pressing current problems. You are able to motivate and inspire others by leading from the front, winning early successes, and developing these successes into a playbook that can be used as a winning formula for driving substantial new business in all of our direct markets.
About your responsibilities
- Researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives to grow Chemaxon’s business and reputation within the target sector.
- Researching prospective accounts in target markets.
- Creating, identifying, promoting, capturing and developing new opportunities aligned with strategic goals.
- Identifying and building relationships with a network of key stakeholders and decision makers in target organizations
- Driving outbound prospecting activities through activities such as
- Researching and attending conferences and events
- Outreach to your existing network
- Outreach to new target customers
- Creating and documenting user requirements and use cases and sharing feedback with product teams and relevant stakeholders
- Working in tandem with the Marketing team to create attendance strategies at trade shows and tech talks, as well as following up on qualification of leads collected at these events.
- Developing new business opportunities in the assigned region
- Pro-actively instigating new discussions within prospects to enable Chemaxon to discover and understand customer goals and challenges relevant to opportunities for Chemaxon.
- Working with multi-functional teams, advising and working with product, technical pre-sales and consulting to close opportunities from prospect accounts.
- Along with your team, developing these strategies into a repeatable playbook for success
Experience, skills and knowledge you should bring to us
- 5+ years of proactive sales experience in the life science software industry.
- 2+ years experience with incorporated line management responsibility.
- Confident and tenacious character: hunter mentality.
- Inspiring, coaching leadership style.
- Existing network within pharmaceutical/life science research community.
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator experience (and experience of other similar tools is a plus!)
- Excellent presentation skills, ability to engage with the scientific community at conferences through credibility and gravitas.
- Demonstrable experience of having built business relationships at scientific events.
- Networking skills, ability to engage with target audience.
- Ability to listen and carefully map customers problems & buying motivations of our customers.
- A thorough understanding of the drug discovery process in general, with a particular emphasis on early discovery through to preclinical.
- Confident in engaging with customer contacts on multiple levels.
