About the team
Our Professional Services team is comprised of dedicated Solution Architects who are seasoned technologists with a strong background in science. As customer-facing members, they collaborate closely with account managers, business development, engineering, and product teams to craft and drive scalable, flexible, and resilient solutions that address customer business problems. Our Solution Architects use their technical expertise, architecture skills, leadership qualities, and deep enterprise knowledge to evangelize and deliver solutions using Chemaxon’s diverse range of technologies.
About your responsibilities
- Scoping, designing, and managing solutions from inception to production.
- Providing solution support during presales, including advising on architecture and preparing SOWs and requirements documents.
- Mastering company products through collaboration with teams, experts, and customers.
- Recommending modern solutions leveraging programming, data, integration, infrastructure, and cloud technologies.
- Representing the company at scientific conferences, trade shows, and tech talks to showcase solutions.
Experience, skills and knowledge you should bring to us
- Background in cheminformatics and drug discovery, preferably in the pharma or biotech field.
- General knowledge of software and processes used in drug discovery, with academic research background preferred.
- Programming and scripting experience (prefer Python, Java, or Groovy).
- Knowledge and experience with designing systems including discovery, requirement forming, diagramming, architecture.
- Databases and SQL (Oracle and MySQL especially).
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills across various media (knowledge sharing with development, presentations, remote and on-site communication).
- Eagerness to learn new skills in SaaS product presentation, deployment, and support.
