About the team
The tasks to be done are related to the products developed and maintained by two teams:
-
JChem for Office team
- Compliance Checker team
The JChem for Office team develops a set of addins into MS Office applications to enable chemistry in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. The team members are always open to help you and you can learn a lot in cheminformatics and the related technologies as well. The work in this team is related to testing the application, creating documentation pages, and helping in the support.
The Compliance Checker team develops two closely related products, one for identification of Controlled Substances, and another one to classify organic molecules according to the WCO’s Harmonized System for the purpose of import/export. The majority of your tasks in this team will be related to the latter one, called cHemTS, where the most challenging work will be to create substructural queries, which requires a solid understanding of organic chemistry. Working with the Compliance Checker team is also a lot of fun, where you can learn a different angle of cheminformatics and web-service technologies from very talented people.
