The requirements for this role:
- 3-4+ years of professional experience within VC covering the Nordics (will also consider backgrounds in consulting, tech, product, and investment banking if you are plugged into the angel or investing networks)
- Knowledgeable in various business models and a love for company building at high-risk/early-stage
- Analytical experience working with numbers and digesting research
- International and multicultural mindset/background
- High academic achievement
- Willing to relocate to Stockholm (if not already based there), relocation and sponsorship provided if needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Sourcing deals through data-driven methods and via your network, while forming relationships within the Nordic founders and investors community.
- Discovering promising companies and deeply understanding their businesses becoming a subject matter expert in a chosen space.
- Support investment due diligence by analysing data, market research, conducting diligence calls, and investment memos.
- Provide support for our portfolio companies, partnering with them on their company-building journey, including attending board meetings, and advising them on various growth and funding opportunities.
- Represent Cherry in the Nordic start-up ecosystem and assist in various internal and external events including Cherry summits, founders retreats, community dinners, speaking engagements, etc.
- Develop your investor style, by testing your own initiatives, leveraging your success within Cherry, and actively contributing to growing a world-class early-stage venture capital fund.
Interview process:
Upon reviewing your application, eligible and successful candidates will undergo the following process:
- Stage 1: Conduct an online test to assess your numerical literacy and provide us with a deeper understanding of your quantitative skills.
- Stage 2: Engage in a conversation with our talent team, allowing us to gain insights into your background, and motivations, and providing you with the chance to ask any questions you may have about the role and company.
- Stage 3: Participate in a case study exercise with one of our Principal Investors, offering a practical assessment of your problem-solving abilities.
- Stage 4: Undertake final interviews with our Partners to discuss your suitability for the position and explore your potential contribution to our team.
