About the role

This exciting opportunity to establish the North American commercial presence for a UK headquartered Climate FinTech start-up. You’ll own the sales efforts in the region and have potential to grow with the company. Your initial focus will be opening relationships with key Banking and Real Estate management companies - we’re backed by Deloitte, Commerz Bank and AO Proptech - and later expand into the numerous other industries where there are already defined use cases.

Our market-leading climate risk platform, Spectra, automates the assessment of physical risk related to climate change into the future. There is a ready market with increased executive-level directives to focus on reducing the impact of climate change, on ensuring financial resilience by effectively incorporating this new area of risk into financial decisions, and regulatory imperatives for disclosure.  You’ll be selling an innovative product that is the work of our team of world-class climate scientists that already has adoption by market leaders in the UK and Europe.  You’ll be supported by recognised industry advisors, and our team of sales and product professionals.

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our team and help drive sales of our SaaS product, Spectra, into financial services and real estate clients in the US market. As the first hire in the US for our London-based company, you will be responsible for building and executing a sales strategy to drive revenue growth, build relationships with key clients, and help to shape the future direction of our company in the US market. You will be working independently for a large proportion of your time, with support from our London-based team.

The impact you’ll own

  • A dynamic role that cuts across sales leadership and account management where you will be engaging with clients and acting as the voice of expertise from the initial outreach to onboarding.
  • Support sales enablement and marketing initiatives around brand awareness, market positioning and demand generation.
  • Acquire and integrate industry knowledge related to trends, emerging technologies, and competitors.
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue growth in the US financial services and real estate sectors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and tailoring solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with our team of climate scientists, risk analysts, and data scientists in London to develop innovative solutions that address clients' climate risk management needs.
  • Deliver presentations and demonstrations of Spectra to potential clients, explaining its value proposition and unique features.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring that all terms are aligned with our company's goals and objectives.

What you bring

  • A proven track record in business development, driving sales revenues and can demonstrate success managing end-to-end B2B sales cycle, ideally in data, SaaS or technology.
  • Proven track record of sales success in the financial services or real estate sectors
  • Ability to build relationships across business leadership, technical stakeholders, and users in client organizations. Experience and understanding of banking, risk assessment, and stress testing would be helpful.
  • Outstanding relationship management skills, customer obsession and a consultative approach to sales.
  • Demonstrable ability to explain complex topics catered to different audiences, seniority levels & sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex data and climate models.
  • Passionate about climate change and its impact on the global economy.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What makes you stand out

  • Experience in enterprise sales
  • Experience working in a fast-paced SaaS or technology start-up
  • Experience with HubSpot (or equivalent CRM tool)
  • Knowledge of climate modelling and analytics

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
