We are recruiting for an Associate Director of Accounting, who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. Additional tasks include procurement, payroll and fixed asset processes in the US and Canada. This is a full-time permanent hybrid opportunity in Horsham, PA. 7+ years of accounting experience and a CPA certification is required.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, procurement-to-pay, payroll, and fixed asset processes in US and Canada.
Manage month-end and year-end close in a timely and accurate fashion, covering periodic subledger review, intercompany balancing and account reconciliations.
Lead local accounting operations and financial reporting team of 4, ensure appropriate delegation of responsibilities and develop team-member potential
Work with external consultants to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements such as tax filings, audits, and ad-hoc regulatory reporting.
Prepare, review, and reconcile financial statements and intercompany reporting following the standards of GAAP and IFRS.
Participate in accounting policy review, documentation, and related financial analysis.
Strong attention to detail, with proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict reporting timelines.
The successful candidate would possess flexibility to get-in-the-weeds while maintaining big-picture focus. Willingness to handle tasks big and small to scale processes & teams is essential.
Education, Experience and Skills
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree in similar fields preferred but not required.
CPA certification required. Big 4 audit experience strongly preferred.
Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible accounting and finance experience. Experience of managing direct reports is required.
High proficiency in US GAAP and internal control over financial reporting principles. Working knowledge of IFRS preferred.
Experience with process improvement and scaling accounting functions preferred.
High proficiency in Excel. Working experience with global, multi-dimensional ERP systems (e.g. MS Dynamics) preferred.
Mandarin language proficiency preferred but not required.
