What We’re Looking For in a Marketing Manager

Our Senior Marketing Manager is invested in developing and executing ControlPlane’s marketing strategy to superchargeour exciting growth journey. The role would suit an experienced marketing professional who has been successful in consultancy and cloud technologies with experience managing high-performing teams.

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious marketing professional to join our Technical Solutions team and work to support the business.

We are looking for an experienced, ambitious, and data-driven marketing manager with strong project management and communication skills. You will develop and execute effective marketing initiatives and campaigns and contribute directly  to the company's growth.

This is a hybrid position, with regular travel to Central London for in-person collaboration in our London office.

 

Roles, Responsibilities and Requirements of our Marketing Manager

  • Campaign Management: Develop, plan, execute marketing campaigns across owned and paid digital channels, driving user growth and engagement. Improve lead generation, growth and accountability for performance against KPIs
  • Email Marketing: Own and execute lead lifecycle and engagement email campaigns, including copywriting and implementation via Mailchimp
  • Data Analysis: Track and analyse campaign performance metrics to measure success, identify areas for improvement, and optimise marketing strategies
  • Content Creation: Develop engaging and informative content for websites, blogs, social media, and other marketing materials targeting a technical and developer audience
  • Digital Marketing: Own the website, digital collateral and overall online presence
  • Brand Management: Maintain and enhance the company's brand image across all channels and touchpoints
  • Budget Management: Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation and return on investment
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external agencies, vendors, and partners to support marketing initiatives
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with our excellent cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and design, to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives


Our Marketing Manager Will Have These Preferred or Specific Skills

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience within a software or technology industry - ideally working with a technical/developer audience, security, or cloud native space
  • A startup attitude, ability to work autonomously and hit the ground running in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional organisation across multiple time zones
  • Exceptional copywriting expertise, able to produce engaging material in the form of blogs, articles and journals on the relevant topics to further demonstrate ControlPlane's position as a thought leader
  • Experience in conveying complex, technical messages to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong digital marketing skills across digital marketing, including analytics, demand gen and paid advertising
  • Ability to process and analyse data, using results to inform plan development and report to the business
  • Deep understanding of SEO and online demand-generation strategies
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and platforms including Mailchimp, Monday and Google Analytics
  • Creative and innovative thinking
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptable and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
