As a Senior Software Engineer (ServiceNow) with expertise in in ServiceNow development, with a focus on ITSM, ITOM (CMDB), Integrations and SAM with Convera based in our Pune office, you will be responsible for implementation of ITIL and ITOM practices throughout the design, development, and deployment of solutions using the ServiceNow platform.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead the implementation of ITIL and ITOM practices throughout the design, development, and deployment of solutions using the ServiceNow platform.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for ITOM processes and best practices, providing guidance and recommendations to team.
  • Demonstrate expertise in assessing business requirements and delivering innovative solutions while adhering to emerging technology standards.
  • Estimate engineering efforts, plan implementations, and execute rollouts of applications with cross-functional impacts. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as TPMs, Infra, CloudOps, Infosec, Dev, and system architects to develop ServiceNow solutions.
  • Drive automation initiatives to minimize manual intervention and automate maintenance processes for CMDB, Service mapping and continuous build processes. 
  • Establish and promote best practices for implementing Service Catalog, mid-server utilization, and UI enhancements. Integrate ServiceNow with API-led Integration Platforms and other tools across monitoring, Infosec, EUC, corporate, and tech operations areas.
  • Develop and maintain operational metrics reporting and dashboards within ServiceNow to provide real-time visibility into system availability. 

 

You should apply if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 5-8 years of experience in ServiceNow development, with a focus on ITSM, ITOM (CMDB), Integrations and SAM.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow modules including ITSM, HRSD, Discovery, Service Mapping, Configuration and Asset Management, Virtual agents, Integration Hub, Flow designer and portal.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience with API-led integration platforms and third-party tool integrations.
  • Familiarity with Tech Ops tools such as Datadog, PagerDuty, and Jira. Using integration hub and working with spokes, customizing and troubleshooting integrations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • ServiceNow certification(s) such as Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) (Discovery and ITSM) preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and configuring ITOM solutions in the ServiceNow platform.
  • Familiarity with IT operations and infrastructure management concepts, including network devices, servers, databases, and cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
