As a Senior Software Engineer (SAM) with expertise in ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) with Convera based in our Pune office. you will be responsible for developing, configuring, and enhancing our ServiceNow environment to meet Convera’s software asset management needs.
You will be responsible for:
- Design, configure, and customize ServiceNow SAM module.
- Develop and implement workflows, scripts, and business rules to support SAM processes.
- Integrate ServiceNow SAM with other IT systems and tools as necessary.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
- Maintain and enhance the ServiceNow SAM module to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.
- Provide technical guidance and support for SAM best practices.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specs, architectural diagrams, and test plans.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Stay updated with ServiceNow features, functionalities, and certifications.
- Provide development and delivery of user training and support materials.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
You should apply if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience working with ServiceNow, with a focus on SAM.
- Proven experience in designing, configuring, and implementing ServiceNow SAM solutions.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide, etc.), workflows, UI policies, and business rules.
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP, Integration Hub, and other webservices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams as well as autonomously.
- ServiceNow certified Implementation Specialist – SAM.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Experience with other ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, Integration Hub.
- Understanding of software licensing models and compliance requirements.
- Prior experience in an Agile development environment.
