Reporting to and supporting the Director, Global FP&A, the role will support the reporting and planning activities of Convera by providing accurate operational business reporting and analysis, as well as supporting the team by extracting data and generating reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance reporting packages (monthly/quarterly) including detailed P&L’s and bridges to explain business trends.
  • Continue to refine P&L reporting to explain variances in fixed vs variable costs including other key cost drivers.  
  • Working closely with the financial accounting team to ensure all month end postings are in line with communicated deadlines and financial plan.
  • Assist in forecasting process, ensuring timely preparation of monthly and quarterly forecasts including evaluation of variances.
  • Maintenance of cost centre listings.
  • Proactively communicate and follow up key issues with manager.
  • Supporting periodic budget/forecasting process.
  • Ongoing process improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to projects as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Advanced analytical skills, with experience collecting and organizing information accurately.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with great attention to detail.
  • Strong experience using financial systems eg Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc), Powerpoint

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Bachelors in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Math,
  • 3-6 years experience, or equivalent in a similar role
  • Deep understanding in managing budgets.
  • Problem solving, adaptable to working in a changing environment.
