Lead Business Development Manager (Legal Vertical)

You’ll be reporting directly to the Global Head of Law Firms, where we will be looking for you to approach & liaise with business prospects on behalf of Convera to attract new clients. You will look to influence anyone from a partner of a law firm to the AP/ AR manager. You will consult with them on their payment needs, while providing a robust and effective solution that enables growth opportunities which will lead towards securing sustainable, profitable trading relationships.

This role is focused on driving revenue through bringing new clients to the organization. This is a strategic sales role which encompasses all aspects of the sales process from target and qualify, through to implementation.

Key responsibilities include:

· Individual hunter who thrives on closing new business while achieving aggressive set targets.

· Building deep and meaningful rapports with Law Firms, mainly focusing (but not limited) to Intellectual Property (IP) practices, Immigration, M&A, Taxation & the Litigation space.

· Financially astute with an understanding of identifying prospects needs & pain points.

· Possess a deep understanding of consultative sales principles, be adept at executive corporate level negotiations, and building long-term sustainable client relationships.

· Proactively identify and approach new prospects to sell our payments offering.

· Network extensively to increase awareness of our value proposition while ensuring full alignment across all facets of the business.

· Create & execute a sales portfolio strategy to ensure overachievement of New Business targets YoY.

· Proactively manage an effective pipeline, while identifying and prioritizing larger opportunities that supports the overall goal in achieving targets.

· Operate effectively in a fast-paced evolving environment, to influence, collaborate and coordinate with multiple internal & external stakeholders

· Ensure a positive customer experience is delivered to enable early revenue delivery, while achieving customer advocacy.

Required key skills:

· A successful sales track record, ideally from financial services background who understands the cross-border payments space.

· Ambitious, self-motivated & confident individual with high integrity and tenacity to outperform the competition.

· Previous interactions with Law Firms - Ideally working closely with their accountancy / finance departments.

· Enthusiastic & self-driven individual with a strong desire to succeed

· Entrepreneurial mindset to prospecting and willingness to learn

· Understanding of IP practices would be an advantage

· Extensive negotiation experience and commercial acumen

· Ability to prioritize initiatives quickly with excellent time management

· Able to build & maintain relationships and influence where necessary

· Experience in introducing and onboarding new customers and relationships

· Proven ability to attract, engage and communicate value propositions to C-suite executives.

· Ability to work within a target driven environment while identifying opportunities and close deals through a “win / win” outcome

· Knowledge of international cross-border payments and foreign exchange products would be an advantage
