Convera is seeking an Office Services Leader based in either New York or Toronto. This role will lead and develop a team responsible for all administrative services for Convera’s offices in the Americas.

Office Services Leaders are regionally deployed to manage in time zone all issues relating to the efficient and effective management of the office footprint e.g. real estate, office expenses, safety and culture, this role will create a welcoming environment where Convera’s employees can thrive in their work. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Develop standard operating procedures & policies globally for all aspects of the Office experience e.g.
    • Safety, badging, budgets, procurement processes, finding savings / synergies to reduce the cost of the office footprint
    • Developing through best practice sharing a set of culture-building activities within the offices
    • Devising a common view of Office Manager performance and calibrate performance globally 
  • Managing the Office Managers in their geography to follow the globalized new policies & procedures, along with culture-building activities
  • Organizationally build a regional team and work through coverage models to ensure when one Office Manager is out that the Office has coverage in their absence 
  • Works with the Site Leaders & Office Managers to help gather feedback on Office needs and how to deliver a great employee experience 
  • Work with Office Managers to collate all BCP Site Plans yearly and any other site-related compliance needs
  • The Global Real Estate Lead – in addition to the above Office Services Leader role will be the co-ordination point and SME around all new lease / lease negotiations globally 

You should apply if you have:

  • Candidates will typically have at least 5 years’ experience in an office management role
  • Effective leadership skills and line management experience, able to mentor and coach staff 
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, driving value from suppliers such as landlords, building management and maintenance contractors
  • Broad understanding of health & safety frameworks and other relevant local legislation
  • Able to communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels, developing productive relationships with peers and collaborating successfully
  • Able to take a leadership role in implementing policies and procedures to support organizational objectives and business success
