Senior Regulatory Reporting Accountant
As a regulated provider of foreign exchange services, Convera is subject to a broad range of regulatory obligations across APAC in relation to the financial position and performance of the company. We are looking for an experienced financial accountant to oversee the compliance of these obligations through diligent reporting, engagement with internal and external stakeholders whilst managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This is a hybrid role split between Sydney CBD office and wfh, with flexibility offered.
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance & lodgment of regulatory reporting obligations across APAC;
- Liaising with external auditors to assist them complete regulatory audit of APAC entities and ensure timelines/deliverables are met.
- Ensuring compliance with RG166 by completing daily/monthly calculation of Net Tangible Assets position for ANZ;
- Monitoring daily cash positions to ensure compliance with RG166;
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and updates assessing impact on Convera’s reporting obligations.
- Development of regulatory reporting policies and governance frameworks.
- Analyze financial data and make recommendations on accounting issues & controls
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide secondary support for tax- related tasks to ensure continuity and compliance.
- Assisting with adhoc projects where required.
You should apply if you have:
- CA / CPA Qualified
- Broad understanding of regulatory framework in multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience working for a payments/FX company strongly preferred
- Understanding of Australian Financial Services License requirements under RG166.
- Familiarity with ASIC(AU) & MAS(SG) and other regulators framework and guidelines with strong analytical skills ( preferred)
- Strong General Ledger systems and reporting experience.
- Prior industry experience in Financial Services/ regulatory framework is preferred.
- Advanced Excel and Data Analysis skills.
- Excellent time management and strong communication skills.
