As a part of the Risk Team, you will be working with the Risk Assessment team and be responsible for the execution of Risk Assessment program across various risk areas. Risk assessment program is a mechanism to assist management in understanding and managing business and compliance-related risks and vulnerabilities.
You will be responsible for:
• Reporting to the Head of Risk Assessments, you will work to identify and assess risks throughout the assigned business lines by executing a defined risk assessment program. This includes Financial crime risk assessment and Markets compliance risk assessment for various legal entities of Convera.
• Hold governance routines to report and escalate as necessary to executive management while driving to institutionalise and cultural awareness of risk management practices.
• Manage risk assessment process to meet defined schedules and agreed deliverables. Including the collection / review of regional KRIs for the risk assessment purpose.
• Maintain high level of understanding of the transaction activity (client transaction and trading activity). Ongoing development of the internal control framework, industry trends and regional specific regulatory enforcement and issued guidance.
• Identify and assess financial crime risk for new products, business opportunities or expansion to new regions.
• To maintain the Entity/County/Region/Global level risk registers and produce risk reporting as appropriate.
• Manage the relationship with leadership, the regional first line of defense teams, Compliance teams, Board of Directors and Risk Committees.
• To provide practical interpretation, application, and mitigation of risk to resolve issues raised across the organization
You should apply if you have:
• At least 6 years of experience in a Risk Assessment, investigative or intelligence role related to AML/Financial crime in a financial institution or similar field where investigative/ research skills and approaches are employed.
• Able to conduct sound research to gather relevant information from various sources, and apply suitable analytical skills to discover insights, draw conclusions and provide appropriate recommendations.
• Strong sense of integrity, self-driven, inquisitive, and resourceful.
• Proficiency with online research tools/databases and data analytics tools. Working knowledge of Excel, Teams, and Power BI
• Excellent written and oral communication, including presenting technical risk information is clear, meaningful language
• Experience of working collaboratively with stakeholders at different levels
• Problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Strong ability to work flexibly, managing changing, and competing priorities
