Payment Processing Co-ordinator – Sydney – Fixed Term Contract until November 2025
This is an entry level role with Convera.
As a Cheque Processing Specialist with Convera based in our Sydney office, you will ensure items going through our cheque processing department are accurate and completed in a timely manner. You’ll review foreign and domestic cheques, manually code the details into our processing platform, prepare letters to be sent to foreign banks, then deposit the cheques at the bank.
You will be responsible for:
- Receiving cheques that are sent to our office, data entry of the cheque details, process and then physically bank the cheques.
- You’ll also work with internal partners to communicate issues and provide updates on workflow processing, and with our banking partners and foreign banks to ensure credits are received correctly.
- This is an entry level role with Convera.
- We need you to work from our office a minimum of x3 days per week. Option to wfh for x2 days.
- Our modern Sydney office with expansive city and water views is next to Wynyard station.
You should apply if you have:
- Previous work experience in the banking or financial services industry is desirable but not essential. Ideally you will have worked in a process led role where accuracy and attention to detail is key, but we are interested in you even if you have limited working experience and are keen for a start in the financial services industry.
- Ability to understand, digest and follow regulatory and compliance laws that pertain to processing cheques
- Dependable – For this role we you to be in the office every day (Mon-Fri)
- Excellent attention to detail
- A degree is preferred but not essential
- Excel knowledge and experience is an advantage
