Principal Infrastructure Engineer

As a Principal Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in, WAN, LAN & Wireless networks with Convera, you will be responsible for transform current network platforms (WAN, LAN, Wireless) into modern day architecture using industry leading technologies and be future ready.

 

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Accountable for direction, strategy, and implementation of the overall Enterprise Network Infrastructure Architecture
  • Coordinate strategies & participate in technology selection activities and work with the appropriate business and IT stakeholders to ensure the long-term network infrastructure technology plan
  • Technical SPOC for enterprise-wide network infrastructure technology
  • Define principles/standards for infrastructure which includes Cloud, Remote office locations
  • Lead & participate in vendor evaluation and selection of network technology solution
  • Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including firewalls, routers, switches, UPSs, and other hardware.
  • Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades
  • Achieve operational efficiency by proactive monitoring, issue resolution & root cause analysis
  • Execute, support and improve Business Continuity Plan
  • Responsible for Network, Firewalls, ISP management, Site reliability
  • Reporting network status to key stakeholders
  • Partner with other IT teams to achieve business excellence

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experienced in Cloud-based architecture and deployments, particularly with AWS
  • Experienced in implementing and managing enterprise WAN, LAN & Wireless networks
  • Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including routers, switches (layer 2/3), firewalls, remote access, DNS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLAN, QoS, VPN and SDWAN.
  • Expert level knowledge in products like, Palo Alto FW, Palo Alto SD-WAN, Aurba wireless, Cisco switches
  • Works closely with Cyber Security leader to develop and execute continuous improvement plans
  • Proven technical leader and would be able to lead a team
  • Strong oral and written communications with excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative working style to be able to partner with IT stakeholders across organization and Influence technology decisions

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting cloud based contact center implementation
  • Strong Understanding Architecture Principles, Patterns, Guidelines, Architecture Standards, Technology trends, emerging technologies, Enterprise Architecture processes like Design Reviews, Architecture Review Boards
  • Experience leading multiple projects including experience managing team efforts, processes, and technologies throughout project full-life cycles
  • Great attention to detail and follow through on tasks
  • Innovative and Self Motivated
  • Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Vendor management
  • Skilled communicator with ability to present technical topics to senior leadership
