Creative Fabrica is a combination of love for art and a passion for handmade crafts and fonts. We believe that each font and craft is a little piece of art. Likewise, we believe that art should be made available to everyone.

About the platform

Creative Fabrica was launched in the summer of 2016 with the mission to change how digital designs are purchased and used. Since our launch we have been through tremendous growth.

We have scaled to 20 million+ monthly page views, viewing over 1.5 million listed products from 5000+ active designers.

Our focus is to have designers on board that offer exceptional high-quality content and make their products searchable in unique ways. This allows our customers to speed up their workflow, allowing them to focus on what they love most: Creating.

Job description

At Creative Fabrica we are developing the e-commerce platform of the future.
On top of that, we built and maintain a social networktools for creators to manage their digital assets, CF Fans - an all-in-one platform for creators to manage their followers, CF Classes - online classes from experienced designers and crafters, and many more!

As our Engineering Manager you will oversee our growing Dev team and it's your mission to watch over the team's health, to hire great developers, and place them in the best position to succeed. You'll be responsible for leading, coaching and motivating a team of highly skilled developers. You'll enable the team to keep the platform running smoothly, the code clean and to ensure everything stays scalable.

Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with the CTO to build out the Front-end and Back-end Engineering teams
  • Manage people - this means building and coaching a team of happy developers
  • Be responsible for growing a team of developers from scratch which includes interviewing candidates and onboarding new hires
  • Constantly look for ways to identify bottlenecks and improve the team's process
  • Make sure the team delivers and everyone is following processes; setup OKRs and Engineering KPIs
  • Put together proposals with solutions for complex infrastructures

The kind of person we are looking for

Essential: 

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 6+ Years experience, of which at least 3+ years leading a team of developers
  • Experience of people management and the ability to lead and influence others
  • Proven experience in leading and managing the delivery of system/software development projects in a structured environment
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills
  • Excellent personal organisation and ability to prioritize and carry out multiple tasks

Nice to have:

  • Experience in both architecture and implementation-level software design
  • Experience in requirements capture, analysis techniques and process improvement approaches
  • Experience in the development of software using PHP on a AWS architecture

Aptitudes:

  • Natural problem solver with a positive attitude, solutions focused.
  • A knack for new technologies and methods where you can apply them to new ideas and concrete solutions.
  • Aptitude for growth and willingness to get better, to be able to keep adapting to new situations and always deliver the highest quality results.
