We are looking for a Python/Django developer to join our team and help build Darktrace PREVENT / Attack Surface Management and its related services which Darktrace develops. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining the backend of our web application, as well as mentoring other developers and collaborating with stakeholders.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectations of 2 days a week in The Hague office.
Responsibilities:
As a Python/Django developer you will be responsible for designing, developing and testing scalable and modular code using Python and Django. You should be comfortable using tools such as pytest, flake8 and black to provide automated testing and code quality chesks.
Additionally you will document code using docstrings and design documents, translating development tasks from funcitonal specifications to technical designs. You will also be responsible for:
- Using Git for version control and dependency management
- Performing code-reviews and provide feedback to other developers
- Mentoring junior developers and share best practices
- Working independently and in teams using agile methodologies
Candidate Requirements:
The successful candidate for this role will show a deep passion and drive for delivering high-qaulity software, as well as being fluent in England (both written and spoken)
The successful candidate must also demonstrate a high level of Python and Django, backed by a proven track record of delivering high-qaulity performant software using best practices, and must also be familiar with Git, Linux and SQL.
Additionally it is likely that the successful candidate will have experience in:
- Learning new technologies and frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills,
- Deploying and manage applications on Linux servers using Docker and Kubernetes, or other container orchestration tools,
- Infrastructure in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP,
- Knowledge of cyber security and internet protocols.
