We have an immediate opening in New York for a Legal Executive or Corporate Paralegal. This position offers significant opportunities for growth and development, as you will have responsibility for key aspects of corporate legal matters at a fast-paced and dynamic company. The position will report to the Associate General Counsel, Corporate in New York on a small, high impact, global team.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Corporate Transactions and Governance. Support corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, and routine matters, including by drafting and reviewing contracts, assisting with entity management, and recordkeeping. Assist with governance matters, including ESG initiatives.
- Policies and Compliance: Draft and review policies, processes, and guidelines touching on all aspects of business operations. Monitor applicable legislation and regulations to help ensure compliance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Operations Support: Work with teams across the company including other members of the Legal team, Finance, Human Resources, Corporate Affairs and Marketing to ensure ongoing support of company operations.
- Legal Research: Assist in conducting legal research as needed, particularly in areas of legislative and regulatory developments.
- Project Management: Drive progress on legal team projects and help wherever needed. Actively work on improving processes with the goal of positively impacting the legal team as Darktrace continues to grow and scale.
Qualifications & Experience
- Must have Bachelors Degree from a leading university. Interest in attending law school welcome, though not required.
- Relevant prior corporate paralegal experience is preferred but not necessary; this can be an entry-level role.
- Ability to work independently on a variety of projects; ability to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines and be proactive.
- Meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven strong analytical skills.
- Strong work ethic and time-management skills.
- Must be comfortable interacting with all levels of the company’s personnel, including management, building relationships across teams and across our offices around the world.

For US based candidates, the annual pay range (excluding bonus) for this position is $65,000 - $75,000. The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual experience.
