At Darktrace, Human Resources (HR) is focused on balancing the needs of the employee and the needs of the business.  Our current UK/EMEA HR team are based at our Headquarters in Cambridge, UK. We are in search of a confident and focused HR Specialist to join our dynamic and well-connected global HR team. The role will be based in our office in The Hague, Netherlands supporting all HR matters across The Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Germany as well as leaning into the team to support other regions as required.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

You will act as the key HR point of contact across for employees across The Netherlands, Germany, Sweden and Denmark region. Managing relationships with key stakeholders across the business, advising on employee relations matters across the territory. 

  • Assist employees and managers with general enquiries and provide guidance on the core HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage sick cases including long term sick and advise managers on best practice.
  • Support disciplinary and grievance issues, as necessary.
  • Maintain Human Resources employee files, ensure files are current, confidential, complete and in compliance with Company and government regulations.
  • Assist with resignations, terminations and exit interviews, as required.
  • General administration including writing digital letters to employees.
  • Provide HR metrics using the HR information system to analyse and measure data.
  • Assist with HR elements of onboarding.
  • Monitor and track probation reviews, performance reviews and flag potential issues.
  • Ensure timely communication to the wider HR team, and all business matters concerning employees.

Candidate Requirements:

We welcome applicants who have strong previous experience working in a HR role in the Netherlands. We would require you to have great knowledge of The Netherlands labour laws and regulations. You will be confident to work independently as well as a team member, on projects and tasks.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, and an understanding of an HR information system.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach when managing key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and written English skills.
  • The ability to work well under pressure, with good time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Happy to be part of a larger UK/EMEA team.

More desirable skills include knowledge of German, Swedish and Danish labour laws and regulations. We would like someone to have HR qualifications or be working towards them and some experience working across multiple European countries.
