THE ROLE

As a Senior Account Manager, you will be the commercial lead for a number of our top clients. The main responsibility of the role will be to grow revenue with those clients in-line with annual targets .

Your core goals as a Senior Account Manager are to:

  • Land work with new Business Units and teams through thoroughly understanding the stakeholder landscape, building deep, “trusted advisor” relationships, and articulating how Datatonic’s services can solve their business & technical challenges
  • Maximise follow-up work from existing engagements through working with the delivery teams to articulate the business value of completed work, and developing a strategic roadmap with the client

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and owning strategic account plans for each of your clients. This includes:

  • Mapping the areas of opportunity for Datatonic across the account
  • Building an execution plan for winning each opportunity, including support needed from other internal teams (Technology, Delivery & Marketing)
  • Working closely with the relevant account teams at Google Cloud and other partners to identify new areas of opportunity
  • Continuously evolving & evangelizing the plan via regular account reviews and QBRs

Managing the relationship with key client stakeholders in order to maximise sales within your accounts. This includes:

  • Developing a comprehensive stakeholder map
  • Building deep, “trusted advisor” relationships at all levels of the organisation
  • Continuously expanding DT’s network in the account (through internal recommendations; partner introductions & account based marketing activity)

Acting as the Commercial Lead for the account. This includes:

  • Driving the end to end sales process on all opportunities (from qualification through to negotiation and close)
  • Ensuring the commercial fundamentals are in place to easily transact with your account (e.g. MSA, understanding of buying process etc)
  • Serving as a point of escalation for ongoing project deliveries

REQUIREMENTS

  • Professional experience in a fast-paced client facing and results oriented environment.
  • A clear understanding of how large organisations make decisions & how to influence them, with a proven pedigree in helping a business deliver significant growth
  • Ability to communicate and influence all levels of stakeholders across functions (especially tech, engineering, data science, sales, marketing and finance)
  • Ability to lead and motivate others, including a good understanding of how to motivate tech teams
  • You have a consultative ‘listen-first’ approach and understand what motivates people & tailor your messaging accordingly.
  • Initiative taker, eager to break new ground & create opportunities.
  • Exceptional people skills, builds rapport easily.
  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree.
