Datatonic Academy is our dedicated training business which we launched to upskill businesses and exceptional individuals in Data and AI on Cloud. We are an authorised training partner for both Google Cloud and AWS with an exciting roadmap ahead.We offer instructor-led training courses covering all aspects of Data and AI, including Machine Learning Engineering, Data Engineering, DevOps Engineering, Analytics and more. Wherever possible, we customise learning curriculums to meet our clients’ needs, making hands-on exercises and theoretical learning as relevant to their business as possible.

The Role 

We've reached a point in our evolution as a business whereby we require a highly enthusiastic, organised and detail-oriented. Operations Executive to help coordinate and manage the day-to-day administrative running of the business. Youʼll be supporting several lead team members with key tasks and responsibilities, ensuring that the business operates to maximum effectiveness.

Reporting to the Co-Founder, this role will be critical in supporting and organising the business as it grows  - we are a growing startup and that means this role offers the opportunity to have a real impact on the trajectory of the business. For that reason, this is not a ‘passenger’ role. Proactivity, opinions and ideas are essential and encouraged - we want to build a team that is passionate about helping people turbo-charge their career in tech and excited to make it happen.

You'll provide ongoing operational and administrative support to the business, overseeing the various aspects of our daily operations. This will include working together with other teams including Finance, Delivery and Account Management, supporting all functions of the business to work cohesively. 

You'll take a lead role in measuring and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes, recommending and making adjustments, as required. This will involve compiling monthly and quarterly reports for key stakeholders and coordinating follow-up actions. In your role you will:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Academy including scheduling training classes, logistics, and setup. This will include occasionally working CET/CEST hours (GMT/BST +1) to align with classes running in Europe. 
  • Work closely with our instructors to ensure seamless delivery of training classes to enterprise clients (this might include helping to monitor chat/questions in virtual classes and tasks like setup of logins for labs/hands-on exercises within training classes)
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
  • Manage incoming feedback from learners in our classes and monitor related key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of operations.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion of the Academy's services.

Requirements 

  • We're looking for a highly organised and process-driven individual, who is able to work at a consistent pace and meet deadlines. 
  • A minimum of 1 yearsʼ experience in a dynamic business environment in an operations or office management type role (experience within a technology-oriented organisation is preferred). 
  • A natural disposition to facilitate good internal comms, connecting people and proactively finding productive solutions to day-to-day needs. 
  • Individually you are sure-footed and enjoy professional interaction with colleagues. 
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to independently prioritise your workload, covering several tasks/projects simultaneously. 
  • Confident within numeracy and analytical environments. 
  • Strong working knowledge of G-Suite tools (GMail, Sheets, Docs, Drive etc). 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with strong written and oral proficiency in English.
