ABOUT THE ROLE
Working under the FP&A Director, this role will allow you to be at the heart of the business, working alongside Department Heads to build partnerships between Finance and the wider business. You will add value as a trusted adviser, aiming to improve awareness of business performance and forward-looking strategies, by presenting the conclusions of financial data in an understandable way. By tracking actuals vs budget monthly, you will better understand the business model of each department, which will help in driving the budgeting and forecasting process.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Key to driving the budget and forecast processes within the company, building models to gather data and present actuals on the full P&L, with ownership of the revenue and overhead inputs.
- Own the preparation of monthly board packs inclusive of commentary on key trends and observations on the businesses KPIs.
- Lead business partnering with multiple departments – involving tracking actuals vs. budget, department performance analysis and other ad-hoc management information.
- Assist the finance managers with the review of monthly variance analysis.
- Work closely with the wider finance team, operations and sales teams across our key regional geographies focusing on optimisation of margin.
- Assist the CFO and finance team on ad-hoc projects as required.
- Identify and establish efficiency improvements and cost savings through FP&A.
- Work with the Creative Services segments of the business to partner, including developing rate cards, project pricing and review project profitability.
- Work with the BI team to create PowerBI dashboards and data analysis to drive business growth and performance.
ABOUT YOU
- Fully qualified CIMA/ACCA
- Minimum of 4-5 years within a business partner and FP&A role.
- Excellent with Microsoft and Google Suite – Excel, Word, Sheets, Docs, PowerPoint
- NetSuite, Salesforce and PowerBI experience preferred.
- Ability to produce and present high quality and accurate analysis to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience working in Private Equity and B2B environment is desirable.
- Modelling experience – able to build models from scratch is essential.
- Strong data analysis skills and an ability to manage large data sets from multiple sources
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal
- Experience in developing rate cards and project pricing and profitability in a creative service industry
- Able to demonstrate initiative and work to tight deadlines
- Keen to learn new skills, processes, and systems
- Able to work flexibly within a team, asking for and giving support as needed
- Punctual and reliable team player in possession of a strong work ethic
- Results driven with high attention to detail.
- A natural curiosity to learn and a ‘can do’ mentality with a strong preference to suggest solutions rather than just identify problems.
