About the role

As an Accountant and Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our day-to-day financial operations, including invoice processing, general accounting tasks and employee expense management. You work in the team with the Finance Manager and CFO. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with passion for accounting and finance, strong attention to detail, and strong computer skills.

In this role you will:

  • Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and bank reconciliations for our Swiss, French and US entity
  • Help maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Support the quarterly-end and year-end close processes, VAT preparations and filings and other controlling tasks
  • Review and process employee expense claims in Yokoy, ensuring they comply with company policies.
  • Assist the HR Operation Manager in the payroll processing (updating employee change in the payroll system and other HR admin tasks)
  • Assist in enhancing and automating our finance process
  • Handle mail processing and perform various general administrative activities.

 

Your profile 

  • Commercial apprenticeship (or adequate education), and specialized further training in finance and accounting are a plus
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a small-, or medium-sized company
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Excel, and fast in learning and using new software
  • Experience in Yokoy, Odoo, or Quickbooks preferred (but not required)
  • Fluent in English (verbal/written) and advanced German skills
  • Reliable, well-organized, independent and proactive
