The Role

We are seeking a Territory Account Manager for a field sales-based position responsible for the EMEA territory sales plan. The Territory Account Manager will have strong technical knowledge of Molecular Biology applications, including gene assembly, mRNA and protein expression genomics and genome editing. They will demonstrate technical credibility to effectively consult with customers to influence key decisions on technology and product choices. Strong business acumen is required to build successful account and territory plans and translate territory strategy into business results. The ideal candidate will have a strong history of account relationships with key thought leaders in Gene Synthesis, Protein and mRNA development, Genome Editing and other developing technologies. .

Responsibilities

  • Be the commercial face of DNA Script and its products and services in the European market
  • Identify and exploit opportunities to accelerate revenue generation 
  • Demonstrates technical credibility to consult with customers on technology solutions 
  • Identify early adopters within our initial target personas and establish beachheads 
  • Demonstrates funnel management skills with strong hunting/prospecting and closing skills 
  • Commitment to rigorous territory planning, market knowledge 
  • Develops and manages regional tactics to meet or exceed business goals for the territory 
  • Understands scientific project needs and business needs of the customer to win the business 
  • Consistently and accurately manages sales process including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking through the use of the CRM system and other designated IT tools 
  • Develops and maintains current knowledge of genomics and syn bio markets, products, and buying practices required to effectively compete in the assigned territory 
  • Utilizes product and application knowledge across the genetic analysis portfolio to successfully conduct selling presentations 
  • Ensure that customers are fully satisfied 
  • Represent the company professionally, ethically and morally at all times 

Requirements

  • Bachelor/ Master/PhD’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field; or the equivalent knowledge and experience 
  • 3+ years sales experience in Life Science, ideally with both capital equipment and reagents experience 
  • Strong track record & desire to win business and establish long term customer relationships 
  • Ability to travel as needed to be successful in this field-based role 

Miscellaneous

  • Job location:  This is a home-based role, located in either France, Germany or BeNeLux, proximity to an international airport preferred
  • Contract type: direct employment in France, or indirect for other locations 
  • Requires up to 70% travel among DNA Script corporate offices and client sites throughout EMEA 
  • Start date: ASAP
