As Financial Controller at DNA Script, you will oversee and manage the financial operations of our entities in both France and the United States in partnership with another Group Finance Controller.

Your prior experience in structured environments, such as audit firms or large corporations, coupled with a strong appetite for adventure and the ability to thrive in fast-paced settings will be key to make this role successful. Having worked in companies undergoing a transition to profitability, demonstrating the ability to manage financial performance in a rapidly evolving business context, is a great asset.

This role reports directly to the Director of Finance Operations & Controlling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for both French and U.S. entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP)
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, perform financial analysis, and provide forecasts to support strategic decision-making
  • COGS Analysis & Inventory Control: Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to track, analyze, and optimize Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), gross margins, and inventory valuation
  • Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal policies, implementing robust internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including R&D, Sales, and Operations, to provide financial insights and support business objectives
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
  • Audit Coordination: Contribute to external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in finance or accounting roles within structured environments such as audit firms or large corporations. Experience in environments transitioning from loss-making to profitability is highly valued
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in both French and English is mandatory, as both languages are used on a daily basis within the Finance team, the Business and for Reporting purposes
  • Education: Master's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities, business curiosity and entrepereurship spirit, proactive mindset with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
