 Position Summary:

E2open Software Engineer Interns design and develop innovative web-based applications for the supply chain industry that rock.

One of our applications, TM-Shippers, is used to plan, execute, track, and settle billions of dollars of transportation movements every year. TM-Shippers is hosted in a single-instance, multi-tenant model and is accessed by thousands of users across dozens of countries

We are a Scrum shop that works closely with our end users and subject matter experts to make sure that the software we build solves real-world problems and isn’t painful to use.

We utilize a number of technologies including some of the usual suspects for storage and application programming (i.e. Oracle and Java, respectively) and a number of web technology tools and libraries (e.g. React, JSPs, Struts, jQuery) on the front end of our applications. This means our developers learn and apply skills in everything from interface development to complex back end business logic.

 Required Skills / Experience:

  • Candidates will typically are working towards a Bachelors degree, with an emphasis in CS-Software Development
  • 0-3 years’ experience with full-stack development.
  • Understanding and experience with web technologies (e.g. HTML, JSP, Javascript)
  • In-depth knowledge of [at least] one high-level programming language (e.g. Java, C#)
  • Knowledge and demonstrated use of relational database systems (e.g. Oracle, MySQL)
  • Exposure to one or more of the following technologies is beneficial:
    • XML, CSS, JSTL, GWT
  • Familiarity with one of more of the following tools is beneficial:
    • Eclipse, Mercurial, Subversion

Physical Requirements

  • General office environment and responsibilities requiring:
    • Extensive use of the computer which involves viewing a monitor and keyboarding for most of the workday
    • Occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds
