Junior ESG Specialist

Location: Ebury Madrid - 4 days from the office, 1 day from home office 

As an ESG Specialist at Ebury, you will play a pivotal role in driving our sustainability and responsible business practices agenda. You will collaborate cross-functionally to develop, implement, and monitor ESG strategies and initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive ESG assessments and benchmarking to identify key areas for improvement and opportunities for innovation.
  • Developing and implementing ESG policies, frameworks, and reporting mechanisms to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, to integrate ESG considerations into decision-making processes and business strategies.
  • Engaging with external stakeholders, including investors, regulatory bodies, and community organizations, to enhance transparency and accountability in our ESG disclosures.
  • Monitoring, analyzing and defining ESG performance metrics and targets and track progress towards our sustainability goals and objectives.
  • Providing guidance, training, and support to colleagues across the organization to foster a culture of sustainability and ethical conduct.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, business
    administration, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification in sustainability or ESG preferred.
  • Previous experience in ESG management, sustainability consulting, corporate social responsibility, or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting guidelines, such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and SDGs.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management, reporting tools, and sustainability software platforms.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to convey complex ESG concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a passion for driving positive social and environmental change.
