Engineering Team Lead - Trade Engine Domain

About the Role

The Trade Engine Engineering team at Ebury is in search of an experienced Engineering Team Lead with strong leadership and project management skills. The Engineering Team Lead will not only ensure that the technical team's efforts are aligned with Ebury’s strategic goals on our multi-currency accounting system and foreign currency exchange platform but also guide and mentor the engineering team towards outstanding performance and innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the engineering team and provide leadership in project management, resource planning, and team development.
  • Lead project initiatives from concept to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project timelines and monitor progress, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure team adherence to best practice processes for quality assurance, deployment, and support.
  • Collaborate with product management and other department leads to align engineering projects with broader organisational objectives.
  • Embrace full ownership of team deliverables, promoting Ebury’s 'You build it, you own it' philosophy, which includes both development and maintenance.

Experience and qualifications

  • Strong experience in team management, project management, and leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive clarity and alignment across various levels of the organisation.
  • Proven track record of successful delivery of complex projects, preferably within the FinTech or financial sectors.
  • Highly skilled in Agile methodologies and adept at steering teams to follow these practices effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous development, both in the processes and in the skills of team members.
  • Since you will work side by side with colleagues from different countries, you will be able to communicate clearly and concisely your ideas in English both written and spoken.
