Romania People Partner & Office Manager

As part of our continued growth, we are transforming our HR function and are looking for a Part Time Local People Partner (LPP), based in Romania, reporting into the Senior Global People Partner (based in another country). 

  • The LPP works closely with local stakeholders and the Global People Partner in shaping and implementing business strategy and the global HR people agenda.
  • They are responsible for building a strong relationship with stakeholders, supporting them on people-related issues and change projects.
  • The LPP must have strong labour relations capabilities.

The Role: 

Duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Main local touchpoint for all HR topics
  • Ensure local labour law compliance and HR governance
  • Payroll input
  • Data maintenance and accuracy for HRIS bob
  • Manage local Onboarding and Offboarding incl. Exit Interviews
  • Maintain local HR knowledge base
  • Owner of local employee benefits
  • Performance appraisals and improvement plans
  • Later moves / transfers and global mobility
  • Review & update local policies
  • Support local internal & external audits

Candidate profile: 

  • A ‘roll your sleeves-up’ and pragmatic, positive mindset is essential.
  • We are a sales-driven financial services business with over 50% of our employees working in the Front Office. Experience of working in a similar organisation, supporting Sales teams and leaders would be useful.
  • There’s plenty of ambiguity across the business so we need someone who excels in environments that lack structure but at the same time enjoy establishing and building clarity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, an affinity with data, attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
  • The business operates at an incredible pace so we need someone who thrives in this environment but who also has the confidence and capability to know when to challenge diplomatically as well as plan ahead.
  • A proven track record in a People Partner / HRBP role, ideally within a scale-up/high-growth organisation.
  • Knowledge or experience in the Financial Services sector would be useful.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork capabilities.
  • Experience in working in a changing and resilient environment will be a must
  • Experience in handling HRIS and ATS
  • Experience in handling ticketing systems such as Zendesk is a plus
  • Very solid knowledge of Microsoft Office package and/or Google Suite (especially Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets)
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Romanian
